Baylor Softball Adds Carson Frier to 2025 Roster

WACO, Texas – Baylor softball head coach Glenn Moore has added Carson Frier to the 2025 roster, announced Friday.

Frier transfers from UCF to join the Bears with one year of eligibility. The senior catcher spent all three previous years with the Knights.

Originally from Live Oak, Fla., Frier appeared in 14 games as a freshman while making all three of her starts at catcher. She recorded both her first career hit and RBI during her freshman campaign.

During her sophomore season, she appeared in 50 games while making 36 starts, all of them at catcher. Frieir was the batterymate for both a perfect game and no-hitter during 2023 season. She threw out five attempted base-stealers, while posting 194 putouts and 13 assists.

As a junior in 2024, she appeared in 12 games, including six starts behind the plate. She posted a 1.000 fielding percentage for the second time in her three-year career, throwing out one attempted base-stealer while recording 36 putouts and two assists.

A graduate of Suwannee High School in 2021, Frier was a four-year member of her high school team and was awarded MVP and defensive MVP. She was also on her high school’s varsity soccer team scoring 40 goals and winning the MVP award for that sport. Frier broke weightlifting records for clean and jerk in the 154-weight class, while also competing on the school’s golf and volleyball teams. She played for the Gold Coast Hurricanes travel ball team.

Frier will be pursuing a degree in business at Baylor.
