WACO, Texas – Baylor women’s tennis is set to begin its their spring slate of matches at No. 9 Florida on Saturday at noon.

The Bears are looking for their first-ever win against the Gators as Florida holds an 8-0 record in the all-time series. The last time the two teams faced each other was last season at the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center. Isabella Harvison walked away with a 1-6, 6-1, 7-5 victory at the No. 1 singles position, despite the 6-1 setback to Florida as a team.

ABOUT THE BEARS

The Bears return six from last year’s team, including graduate senior Isabella Harvison, who is back for a fifth season. Newcomer Miska Kadleckova, an all-conference transfer from Iowa State, provides the most experience next to Harvison, while a trio of freshman and transfer Sierra Berry, who earned all-conference accolades at USF, round out the 2023-24 squad.

ABOUT THE GATORS

Florida was picked to finish third in the SEC this year. The Gators opened their 2024 season at the Freeman Memorial in Las Vegas, Nevada, last weekend on the campus of UNLV. A trio of ranked opponents in Oklahoma State, Pepperdine and UCLA were also at the event. This weekend’s match will be the first home contest for Florida.
