OXFORD, Miss. – The Baylor women’s tennis team (2-4) was unable to overcome Ole Miss (4-2) on the road on Friday afternoon, falling 4-1.



Miska Kadleckova and Danielle Tuhten gave the Bears an early edge in doubles action with a 6-2 win on court two. With the victory, the duo improved to 3-2 on the season and 3-1 at the No. 2 position. A 6-4 win by Isabella Harvison and Liubov Kostenko on court three helped BU clinch the doubles point.



In singles action, Ole Miss responded with a pair of straight-set wins on courts two and three to jump ahead of the Bears, 2-1. Another straight-set win by the Rebels, this time on court five, pushed Ole Miss ahead, 3-1, before Rachel Krzyzak outlasted Harvison at the No. 4 position to give Ole Miss the victory.



The Bears continue action in the Magnolia State on Sunday against Mississippi State. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
