Good afternoon, all!

No. 1 Baylor Acrobatics & Tumbling invites you to join us for media availability tomorrow, Friday, February 9, at 2pm at Marrs McLean Gymnasium in the heart of Baylor’s campus.

Head coach Felecia Mulkey and a select student-athlete will be available for interviews ahead of the home opener with No. 11 Mary Hardin-Baylor on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Ferrell Center.

NOTABLES

  *   Baylor A&T has been named the favorite for the 2024 NCATA Championship for the ninth season in a row (poll listed below)
  *   The Bears are on a 28-meet win streak dating back to 2021
  *   BU continues to introduce new skills to the acro event – look out for the “boomerang” this season from top Jordan Gruendler and base Bayley Humphrey.
  *   This year Baylor is facing many new programs in the NCATA, getting the win in the season opener against Texas Lutheran and traveling to Iona, Long Island and Augustana later in the season
  *   The Bears defeated TLU on 2/3 by 110.035 points. The last time BU won by 100 or more points was against St. Leo on 3/9/2020, winning by 124.190 (275.940-151.750)
  *   BU will also face tried and true programs Oregon, Quinnipiac and Gannon this season
  *   Coach Felecia Mulkey continues to face her former athletes across the mat – first at TLU with Baylor grads Cam Bryant and Sophia Ranni; UMHB’s head coach is also a Baylor grad: Raffaela Scotto
