SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Baylor cross country begins its season on Friday night at the Classics Elite Soccer Complex for the UIW Twilight meet. The women’s 4k competition begins at 8:50 p.m. CT, with the men’s 6k following at 9:15 p.m. CT.



The Bears will see five new faces don the green and gold for the first time in their careers, with freshmen Sally Corder, Clara Diepenbrock, Payton Fox, Hannah Gonzalez and Caden Biltz all competing in San Antonio.



The scheduled lineup also features veteran runners such as Jackie Addy, a graduate student with over 10 cross country meets underneath her career belt, and junior Caleb Ackman, who has competed in eight meets over his career in Waco.



Last season during the 2023 UIW Twilight, the Bears found success when the women's squad took the 4,000-meter title in the Alamo City with 33 team points. The women's team win was the first for either Baylor team in a non-dual meet since the 2018 Bear Twilight that saw the men's team victorious.

Women’s 4k: Jackie Addy, Sally Corder, Clara Diepenbrock, Kira Dietrich, Payton Fox, Anna Garner, Hannah Gonzalez, Kat Helmer, Jordan Ledington, Abigail Morris, Alaina Zamorano

Men’s 6k: Caleb Ackman, Ben Archer, Caden Biltz, Nolan Keenan, Straton Miller, Aiden Ramshaw
