FORT WORTH, Texas – Baylor men’s tennis takes the road again to TCU for the ITA DI Texas Regional Championship at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center, held Oct. 19-24.



The Bears will join DI programs from across the state in competing for the Texas regional singles and doubles titles. Last season, in a tournament hosted by Baylor, sixth-year senior Finn Bass took the singles win after defeating Pierce Rollins from Texas A&M, while the Bass and Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi duo finished last year’s doubles draw as semifinalists.



After an off week for training, the Bears return to action following the All-American Championship tournament that ended on Oct. 5.



In Tulsa, the Bears were supported by strong play from Luc Koenig and Marko Miladinovic, who won their way through the pre-qualifying tournament. Each of the two won five matches across the week, split in the pre-qualifying and qualifying singles play.



The Texas Regional opens on Thursday with two rounds of qualifying singles, while the main draw of singles and doubles commences on Friday.



Quarterfinals in both draws are scheduled for Sunday, to be followed by the semifinal and final matches in subsequent days.



The finalists and winners of each draw will earn a spot in November’s ITA Fall National Championships held in San Diego, Calif.



Admission to the Friedman Tennis Center is free in Fort Worth. Results and updated draws will be posted at the conclusion of each match on the tournament website<https://colleges.wearecollegetennis.com/competitions/TexasChristianUniversityM/Tournaments/draws/B44C362A-46E9-499E-8033-8F4FB0FEF01F>. Live streams will not be available.
