BRASELTON, Ga – Freshman Ashleen Kaur represented Baylor women’s golf on the 2023 Rolex Junior All-America Team, announced Thursday by the American Junior Golf Association.

The Rolex Junior All-America Teams<https://www.ajga.org/about/awards/rolex-junior-all-america-team> annually recognizes the best junior golfers in the world over the last year. The 2023 class includes 48 boys and 48 girls, ages 14-19, from 20 states and eight countries.

Kaur, who won the Annikia Invitational presented by Rolex in January, is off to a hot start to her collegiate career. The Cypress, Texas, native became the first freshman since Hayley Davis in 2011-2012 to lead the Bears in the first two events of her career.

She currently leads the team in scoring average (73.25), par-4 scoring average (4.05), total birdies (41) and total eagles (3). In total, Kaur has played 20.4% of holes under par this season, a figure which also leads the team.

The freshman is coming off the best finish of her young career with a tie for 20th at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, helping BU to a 19-shot victory.

Kaur and the Bears will resume play at the Match in the Desert on Jan. 22, 2024, at Superstition Mountain Golf Club in Gold Canyon, Ariz.
