Big 12 Reveals 2023 Baylor Conference VB Schedule
Bears host nine league matches at home

IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference has released the 2023 volleyball conference schedule, announced Tuesday. The Baylor Bears will host nine in-league matches at home in the Ferrell Center.

New conference members BYU, UCF, Cincinnati and Houston are in the mix, bringing the total of Big 12 volleyball institutions to 13.

The 2023 format for the league schedule includes 18 matches over 10 weeks. Each team plays six series matches, three home and three away, as well as six single matches, three home and three away. Each team plays all opponents at least once.

Baylor’s series opponents are UCF, Cincinnati, Iowa State, Kansas State, Texas and TCU. Singular matches will be played against BYU, Houston, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and West Virginia.

Series matches are played on Thursday/Friday or Friday/Saturday. Single matches are on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

All teams have at least one match per calendar week, and no team has three matches in the same week. Each team has a maximum of two home and two away weekday matches, and each team has a minimum of one home and one away single weekend matches. No team has three-consecutive away trips.

Baylor will travel to new opponents BYU and Cincinnati while welcoming UCF and Houston to the Ferrell Center.

BU will start its conference schedule on the road for two matches and end the season at home with two matches.
