AUSTIN, Texas – Baylor track and field wrapped up its second day of competition at the 95th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Friday.



Chinecherem Prosper Nnamdi (javelin), Nathaniel Ezekiel (400mH) and Koi Johnson (long jump B) highlighted the day for BU, as they finished with silver medals in their events.



THE RUNDOWN

Prosper Nnamdi opened his season for the first time since his 2022 All-America campaign in the javelin throw with a silver medal finish at the Texas Relays. The sophomore threw for 262-5 on his first attempt.



Ezekiel, who qualified to the finals on Thursday with the field-leading time, finished with a silver medal after 49.59 seconds.



Johnson took a podium finish in the B section of the women’s pole vault competition on Friday, landing at 20-0 ¼ with a legal 2.0-measured wind for the silver medal.



Returning to the pit just a few hours later, Johnson qualified for her second final of the day, where she went to finish seventh overall in the event with a 42-11 ½ jump.



Bria Bullard was the lone Bear to run in a 100-meter dash for a spot in tomorrow’s final and finished 19th out of 41 total competitors. She improved her personal best time in the event to an 11.44.



In the unseeded portions of the 100 meters, Michaela Francois finished 74th in the women’s race while Kamden Jackson finished 34th ahead of Ricquan Graham at 69th in the men’s event.



Cole Hardan advanced to the final throws of his third Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in the shot put, throwing a day’s-best 58-1 ¾ on his second throw to end in sixth.



WHAT’S NEXT

The Bears return to Mike A. Myers Stadium to close the 95th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Saturday. The first event featuring a Bear is scheduled for 10 a.m. with Makayla Long in the women’s discus throw (B).
