WACO, Texas – Baylor men’s tennis earned the ITA All-Academic Team honor for the 17th time in program history, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday morning. A league-high seven Bears were also named ITA Scholar-Athletes.



BU’s Finn Bass, Justin Braverman, Christopher Frantzen, Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi, Marko Miladinović, Tadeas Paroulek and Arman Zamani won the individual Scholar-Athlete honors.



It is Frantzen’s fourth-straight year with the award, and it featured Braverman, Grassi Mazzuchi and Miladinović with back-to-back appearances on the list.



The team’s 2022-23 GPA of 3.59 earned the Bears their 15th All-Academic Team recognition in the last 16 years. To be eligible for the award, teams must possess a combined GPA of at least 3.20. A total of 162 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction this season.



To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must have a GPA of at least 3.5 and be listed on the institutional eligibility form. In 2023, 959 Division I men's tennis student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.



Baylor led 2022-23 Big 12 member institutions with its seven selections ahead of Oklahoma (6), Oklahoma (5) State and Texas Tech (5).
