HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Baylor women’s golf is in eighth place after the second round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Long Cove Club.

After two rounds, Baylor is sitting at 16-over 584, 17-shots back No. 4 South Carolina, the leader at 1-under 567.

THE RUNDOWN
Belsham’s first bogey of the tournament came at No. 4, snapping a streak of 21-straight holes without a bogey to begin the event. She bounced back immediately with a birdie, and added another at No. 9 to finish the front nine at 1-under. QUOTABLE:
Head Coach Jay Goble: “This is a difficult place, and if you're not walking around here with a ton of confidence or something doesn't go your way, it can kind of snowball on you. I don't think our team's game is far off, but they've been a little flat, unlike the last couple of weeks, in my opinion. I don't attribute that to anything other than the fact that this place is challenging, and you have to not only be physically ready to play a good round of golf but also mentally be ready. We have it in us to have a great round tomorrow, and we can move up the leaderboard, but it's hard out here, and we have to be ready for that."

WHAT’S NEXT
Baylor will play with Duke and No. 12 Arizona State in the final round, led by Hannah Karg, at 8:30 a.m. CT. BaiMai Seema will follow at 8:40 a.m., just before Silje Ohma at 8:50 a.m. Sera Hasegawa takes the penultimate tee time at 9:00 a.m., followed by Rosie Belsham at 9:10 a.m.
