WACO, Texas – No. 8 Baylor equestrian (5-5, 2-2) hosts No. 7 Oklahoma State (3-3, 2-1) at the Willis Family Equestrian Center on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 11 a.m.

The Bears are returning home from a two-meet road trip in Fresno, Calif., where they picked up a 10-3 win over Minnesota Crookston, but also dropped a 13-4 contest to Fresno State. Sophomore Annie Vorhies captured her third and fourth Most Outstanding Performer honors of the year against the Golden Eagles, sweeping the MOP honors on the Jumping Seat side. Vorhies’ score of 89 in Flat was just one point shy of her season- and team-high score.

On the Western side, BU’s squad is coming off four career-high rides from the meeting with the Bulldogs. Jenna Meimerstorf (77.5), Madaline Callaway (76.5), Marley Mainwaring (76.5) and Shelby Clausen (76) each put down personal bests in their last time out.

Additionally, sophomore Alexis Rutledge has scored at least a 76 in each of her last five Horsemanship rides. She has won five of her last six contests and picked up two MOP awards over that stretch.

Baylor trails 32-13 in the all-time series against OSU and will look to snap a nine-meet losing streak to the Cowgirls. BU’s last win over the Pokes came on March 30, 2019, in a raw-score tiebreaker.

The seventh-ranked Oklahoma State squad comes to Waco following an 11-8 victory over No. 5 Georgia in Stillwater, Okla., on Feb. 11. The Cowgirls also claimed a 17-3 victory over the Bears earlier this season.

Live scoring will be available for the meet and can be found here<https://baylorbears.com/sports/2018/5/16/sports-w-equest-live-scoring.aspx>.

Baylor will be back in the competition arena on Thursday, March 2, against No. 1 SMU at the Willis in Waco for Senior Day.
