IRVING, Texas – For the fourth-straight week, and sixth time this season, Baylor women’s basketball’s Darianna Littlepage-Buggs has been named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.



The Edmond, Okla., native is the first Baylor rookie to earn it at least six times in a season since Nina Davis collected it seven times in 2014. Additionally, her six weekly honors are tied for the third-most delivered to a rookie in the league in a single season since 2009.



Littlepage-Buggs recorded her 11th double-double and seventh in league games against Oklahoma, finishing with 14 points and a career-high 17 rebounds. Her seven double-doubles in Big 12 games are tied for the second most by a BU rookie since 2009-10. Littlepage-Buggs added two points and five boards against Oklahoma State, finishing second in the league this week in rebounding and blocks while ranking sixth in steals.



Baylor returns to action on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. when it travels to face Kansas State.
