CLEMSON, S.C. – Baylor track and field gets back on the track on Friday and Saturday at the Tiger Paw Invitational hosted by Clemson at the Rock Norman Track and Field Complex.



While the rest of the team competes in South Carolina, Ryan Day, Ryan Hodge, Drew Snyder, Annamaria Kostarellis and coach David Barnett split to compete at the Valentine Invitational in Boston. Day is scheduled to compete in the 3,000 meters, while Hodge, Snyder and Kostarellis are all set to compete in their respective 5,000-meter races.



The Bears, who fell out of the USTFCCCA top-25 last week, have the men’s 4x400-meter relay still qualified to the NCAA championship meet.



Hasani Barr, Dillon Bedell, Matthew Moorer and Nathaniel Ezekiel are seventh in the nation behind a 3:04.37 ran at the Razorback Invitational. The squad of Bears is No. 4 all-time in program history and are only 31-hundreths off tying the program record in the event.



Koi Johnson is the highest-ranked athlete on the women’s side at No. 19 in the triple jump. Johnson jumped 42-8 at the Razorback Invitational to win the event and set a new personal-best.



The throws squad led by coach Jeff Chakouian already has three new marks on the program top-10 women’s list and five on the men’s list.



Friday’s and Saturday’s meets are a final tune-up before the Big 12 Championships in Lubbock, Texas, on Feb. 24-25.
