WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian Jumping Seat sophomore Lauren Reid has been named NCEA and Big 12 Fences Rider of the Month for November, as announced by the respective offices Wednesday afternoon.



Reid picked up honors in Fences after a 4-0 month, leading the Bears to a four-meet winning streak in the event. The sophomore out of Nazareth, Pa., opened November with a point-scoring 84 against Fresno State.

She set a career-high 87 at No. 1 TCU, then collected her first Most Outstanding Performer nod of the season at Delaware State with a meet-high 83. Reid wrapped up her fall slate with an 80, posting an 83.5 average for the month of November.



This is Reid’s first-career NCEA Rider of the Month honor and second Big 12 monthly accolade. Reid’s awards mark BU’s first of the 2023-24 season.



Baylor finished its fall campaign with a 1-6 record, including a 1-2 mark in conference play, and returns to action on Jan. 27 to open the spring season against No. 5 Georgia at the Willis Family Equestrian Center in Waco.
