TULSA, Okla. – Baylor men’s tennis took to the courts on Wednesday afternoon for the first round in both the singles and doubles editions of the main ITA All-American Championship draws. Tadeas Paroulek found success in his match and will be advancing through to round No. 2 on Thursday.



THE RUNDOWN

Paroulek took to the courts for the first time in singles play on Wednesday afternoon, facing off against Penn’s Edoardo Graziani in the round of 64. A mirror 6-3, 6-3 sweep moves him to the round of 32, where he will face the 16th-ranked conference foe from Texas, Micah Braswell.



Finn Bass dropped his first-round match to North Carolia’s Ryan Seggerman, 7-5, 6-4. The fifth-year senior switches into the consolation bracket, where he will play Nikola Slavic from Mississippi.



The doubles duo of Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi and Bass lost in the first round of the doubles main draw in a tie-break, 7-5, 2-6, 1-0(7). Play is not over yet, as the pair opposes Andres Martin and Marcus McDaniel of Georgia Tech in the doubles consolation bracket.



WHAT’S NEXT

Bass faces Slavic at noon on Thursday, followed by Paroulek in the round of 32 competing at 12:30 p.m. First serve in the doubles consolation has yet to be determined.
