WACO, Texas – The No. 10-ranked Baylor volleyball team is ready to face TCU on Saturday in Schollmaier Arena, with first serve set for 2 p.m. in Fort Worth.

The Bears (21-4, 10-2 Big 12 Conference) take on the Horned Frogs (12-10, 7-5 Big 12) for the second time on the season, this time in Fort Worth.

BU leads the all-time series over the Frogs, 22-7, with a 9-5 record in Fort Worth. The last time Baylor and TCU met was in the Ferrell Center on Sept. 21 to open the conference slate, the Bears winning 3-1.

The rivalry means more this season with former BU assistant Jason Williams now at the helm of the TCU squad – the first time in his career that Ryan McGuyre has faced a former assistant across the net as a head coach. Baylor alumnae Callie Williams is the starting setter for the Frogs, while Preslie Anderson serves TCU as their volunteer coach.

With the win against Kansas on Nov. 5, BU has won the season series with four league squads thus far. The win against Texas Tech on Nov. 2 gave Baylor its seventh-straight season with 20 or more wins, all under McGuyre.

The Bears are led by senior middle blocker Kara McGhee, who is just six blocks away from recording the 500th of her career. She leads the Big 12 in total blocks with 139 and is also first in blocks per set with 1.53. The San Antonio native is ranked in the top-10 of the NCAA in both categories as well, ranking eighth for total blocks and sixth for blocks per set.

Also high in the national rankings is freshman setter Averi Carlson, who is 19th for assists per set, second in the Big 12, at 10.86. She leads the conference in total assists at 988, ranking 28th nationally. The Lovejoy High School product earned her fourth Rookie of the Week award from the Big 12 on Tuesday, tying her with Yossiana Pressley for most weekly league accolades in a freshman season.

Baylor’s middle blockers are also highly ranked for their hitting percentage, with McGhee ranking second in the conference and 13th nationally at 0.407 and Mallory Talbert third in the league and 14th in the NCAA at 0.406.

The match will be streamed on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ with Chuck LaMendola and Katie Carter on the call. Fans can keep up with live stats here<https://gofrogs.com/sidearmstats/wvball/summary>.
