WACO, Texas – No. 22 Baylor women’s tennis (13-4) has a big weekend on the horizon with back-to-back matches against ranked foes in No. 3 Oklahoma (17-1) and No. 11 Oklahoma State (11-2). The Bears will face the Sooners at 5 p.m. Friday before taking on the Cowgirls at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Baylor – off to a 4-0 start in Big 12 play for the second-straight season and 11th time overall – is atop the conference standings. Oklahoma State and Oklahoma are right there, however at 2-0 and 1-0, respectively, in league play.

The Bears are currently on a six-match winning streak, led by fifth-ranked doubles tandem Mel Krywoj and Alicia Herrero. The duo is 12-2 on the season.

Baylor’s occupier of court one in singles action is Isabella Harvison. The junior was named the Big 12 Player of the Week a week ago after landing a top-20 win in BU’s victory over Texas Tech. Harvison continued her winning ways a week ago and is now 6-4 on the top court with a No. 109 national ranking to go with it.

Also ranked nationally is No. 116 Alina Shcherbinina. The freshman leads the team with 15 wins on the season. After shuffling through the top spots in the lineup, Shcherbinina has found her sweet spot at court four where she is currently 9-0.

Baylor – who is a combined 14-1 in Big 12 action over the last three seasons – is 24-4 against Oklahoma. The Bears have won 18 of the last 19 against the Sooners.

Oklahoma is led by No. 19 Layne Sleeth, No. 43 Carmen Corley, No. 56 Ivana Corley, No. 113 Dana Guzman and the No. 4-ranked doubles team of Carmen and Ivana Corley.

BU is 21-9 against Oklahoma State but had lost each of the last five contests against the Cowgirls until last season's victory.

Oklahoma State is led by No. 30 Mananchaya Sawangkaew, No. 42 Lisa Maria Rioux, No. 104 Oona Orpana, No. 14 Ayumi Miyamoto and Rioux as well as No. 49 Sawankaew and Martina Zerulo.
