WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian junior Dominika Silvestri has been named the National Collegiate Equestrian Association’s (NCEA) Flat Rider of the Month for March, as announced Wednesday afternoon by the organization.

The Andover, Mass., product finished the regular season on a high note with two career-high scores in a pair of road meets. She posted a 91 at No. 8 Fresno State, then followed it up with an 88.5 at UC Davis to win both of her points this month and help the Bears to a 13-7 win over the Aggies.

This is Silvestri’s first-career monthly award and BU’s ninth recognition as a team on the year. The Bears have received four Big 12 monthly awards so far and five NCEA accolades during the 2021-22 campaign.

Sixth-ranked Baylor closed out its regular season at 6-6 and will compete in the 2022 Big 12 Championship later this week as the No. 4 seed. Action begins on Friday, March 25, as the Bears face off with No. 1 Oklahoma State at 10 a.m. from TCU’s Diamond Creek Ranch in Burleson.
