IRVING, Texas – Baylor's Rosie Belsham, Gurleen Kaur and Britta Snyder have been named to the 2022 All-Big 12 Women's Golf Team, giving the Bears three All-Big 12 honorees for the first time in program history, as announced Friday by the conference office.

Belsham, Kaur and Snyder gave BU more selections than any other program on the 11-player team, which is chosen based on an average of the season's final Golfstat and Golfweek/Sagarin individual rankings.

Kaur and Snyder made the team for a second-straight season, becoming the first pair in program history to earn All-Big 12 honors in back-to-back seasons.

Belsham is the 13th player in program history to make an All-Big 12 team in her first year on the squad.

This is Kaur's third All-Big 12 selection, joining Hannah Burke and Hayley Davis as the only players in program history with three All-Big 12 selections. Last week, the Houston native became the first four-time All-American in program history when she was named to the WGCA All-America Second Team.

A two-time Big 12 Golfer of the Month, Kaur led the team with a stroke average of 72.03, just shy of her program record of 71.97 set last year. She owns three of the top-10 single-season stroke-average marks in BU history, and all five of her seasons rank in the top 22. The Houston native led the conference with six top-5 finishes, and her 21 rounds at par or better ranked in the top three.

The senior’s program-best fourth-career win came at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in October 2021, where she fired a final-round 68 to edge Snyder by a shot. The second-best finish of her season came in a tie for second at the Stillwater Regional. She shot the sixth-best score in Karsten Creek history with a second-round 67 en route to a 14-shot win for BU.

Last week, the senior set the Baylor record for the most NCAA Championship rounds played with 12. In addition to her program mark in wins, she has the most career rounds played with 145 and tied for the most in a single season with 37. Her career stroke average of 72.48 ranks second in program history, while she ranks second in career top-5s (13) and career top-10s (21).

Snyder continued the strong start to her career with her second All-Big 12 selection, coming off a year where she led the team with 413 pars and finished second on the team in stroke average (73.03), top-25 finishes (8), Golfweek (No. 82) and Golfstat (No. 88) rankings. The Ames, Iowa, native also tied for the second-most top-5s (2) and top-10s (4) and finished third in rounds at par or better (15).

She played out of the No. 1 spot three times, which was second-most on the team, and was BU’s best finisher in two events – the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate (T-20th) and the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge (T-18th). She currently sits in third place in career stroke average (72.64), with two of the top-13 single-season stroke averages in program history, and she moved into the top-10 in career top-10 finishes (11).

Snyder and Belsham have teamed up to start every team stroke-play event for the Bears in the last two seasons. In those 24 events, the Bears have nine team wins.

Belsham finished second on the team in rounds at par or better (16), top-5s (2), top-10s (4) and eagles (5). She made the Big 12 All-Tournament team thanks to a seventh-place finish at Houston Oaks, helping the Bears to a tie for second place. She followed that up with a tie for second at the Stillwater Regional, and in the process, moved into a tie for 10th on BU’s career top-10s list. The Whitley Bay, England, native finished with a stroke average of 73.31, the 17th-best single-season average in team history, and she has the fourth-best career stroke average at 72.78.

The Bears advanced to the NCAA Championship for the seventh time in program history and earned an 18th-place finish. BU expects to return four players with NCAA Championship experience, with Snyder, Belsham, Hannah Karg and BaiMai Seema all coming back, joined by East Tennessee State transfer Sera Hasegawa and talented freshman Silje Ohma.
