Baylor MT Earns ITA All-Academic Team Honor
Five Players Recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes

TEMPE, Ariz. – Baylor men’s tennis earned the ITA All-Academic Team honor for the 16th time in program history, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday morning. Additionally, Justin Braverman, Christopher Frantzen, Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi, Sven Lah and Marco Miladinović were individually named ITA Scholar-Athletes.



With the squad’s cumulative grade point average of 3.56, the Bears earned their 14th All-Academic Team recognition in the past 15 years. To be eligible for the award, teams must possess a combined GPA of at least 3.20. A total of 163 men’s tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction this season.



Individually, Braverman, Grassi Mazzuchi and Miladinović all earned their first-ever scholar-athlete honor on Monday, while Frantzen collected his third-straight and Lah earned his fourth in five years.



To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letterwinner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters. In 2022, 933 Division I men’s tennis student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
