THE RUNDOWN
WACO, Texas - Baylor's sixth inning rally fell short Saturday afternoon as 13th-ranked Oregon defeated Baylor, 10-4, in the rubber match of the three-game series at Getterman Stadium.

The Bears got off to a slow start in the game three matchup, trailing 3-1 after the first three innings. BU scored its first run in the third when Josie Bower was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

Dariana Orme, who started in the circle for the Bears, struck out three through the first three inning.

Oregon held the 3-1 lead through the top of the sixth after Orme and Aliyah Binford combined to allow no runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.

The Bears rallied back in the bottom of the sixth, plating three runs to knot the game at 3-3. Rhein Trochim led things off with a walk before Zadie LaValley was hit by a pitch and they both advanced on a wild pitch. McKenzie Wilson, who was 2-for-3 on the day, had a two-run double down the right field line to plate two runs.

With the game tied heading into the final inning, the Ducks brought seven runs across to take the 10-3 lead.

The top of the sixth saw pitching outings from Rachel Hertenberger and Maren Judisch.

Binford hit a leadoff double in the bottom of the seventh, eventually coming around to score on freshman Caroline Rowatt's RBI groundout. The Bears loaded the bases with an error, a Taylor Strain single and Kaci West walk, but weren't able to score any more runs.

TOP QUOTES
Glenn Moore on the game…
“Over all, this was a productive weekend for us. We can’t let the final inning of a great game define the weekend. We played a veteran team; we are young and inexperienced. The things that beat us will not continue to beat us.”
