WACO, Texas – Baylor track and field has added Florida transfer Jackie Addy for the 2022-2023 season, distance coach David Barnett announced on Wednesday. A native of Atlanta, Ga., she prepped at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School before her stop in Gainesville, Fla.



“I am excited to have Jackie joining us at Baylor,” said Barnett. “She is a great student-athlete, and she is going to fill needs both on and off the course for our program. We’re looking forward to seeing what she can do this next season.”


She finished 25th at the Mountain Dew Invitational and 20th at the UCF Invitational in the 2021 season. In 2019, Addy recorded a 111th-place finish at the SEC Championships.



In high school, Addy was a two-time USATF National Junior Olympic gold medalist in the 1,500m and 3,000m and a two-time GHSA 1A State silver medalist in the 800 and 1,600. In 2017, she won a bronze medal in the 800 at the state meet.
