No. 4 Baylor MT Adds Two Non-Conference Midweek Matches
Bears to host Midwestern State and UT Tyler

WACO, Texas – No. 4 Baylor men’s tennis has added two non-conference matches to its schedule before it starts play in the Big 12 Championships.

The Bears (21-3, 3-1 Big 12) welcome Midwestern State to the Hurd Tennis Center on Tuesday, Apr. 19 and then UT Tyler on Wednesday, Apr. 20. Both matches will be played at 2 p.m. in Waco.

BU has played UT Tyler a total of five times, four of which were played in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Baylor won the last meeting, 7-0, in 2021.

The Bears lead the series with MSU, 4-1, with four wins in a row. The last matchup was in 2021, with a 7-0 win over the Mustangs.

BU closes out the Big 12 season on Saturday, Apr. 16, with a road match at No. 33 Texas Tech.

The Big 12 Championships will be held at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth on TCU’s campus from Apr. 21-24.

NEXT UP
The Bears finish out the conference regular season in Lubbock when they face No. 33 Texas Tech on April 16 with a 5 p.m. start time at the McLeod Tennis Center.
