Story lines

  *   Baylor is set to go on the road to take on Kansas Thursday, Oct. 7 in Lawrence and Kansas State Sunday, Oct. 10 in Manhattan.
  *   Kansas is 5-8-1 so far this season recently falling to Kansas State (1-2) and Iowa State (0-1).
  *   Kansas State is 6-6-0 so far this season recently defeating Kansas 2-1 in overtime.
  *   Baylor and Kansas are 12-12-2 all-time with the last matchup ending a 2-0 Baylor win. As head coach, Paul Jobson is 3-4-0 against the Jayhawks.
  *   Baylor and Kansas State are 4-0-0 all-time with the last matchup ending a 4-0 Baylor win. As head coach, Paul Jobson is 4-0-0 against the Wildcats.
  *   Baylor moved into the ranks this week coming in a No. 23 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. This is the first time Baylor has been in the rankings since the season started.
  *   Baylor is currently at the top of the Big 12 leaderboards after being preseason picked seventh.
  *   The Bears are now 3-0 to begin conference play. The last time the Bears started conference play 3-0 was 1998 when Baylor was crowned Big 12 champions for the first time.
  *   Baylor is coming off of a home game against Texas Tech where they defeated the Red Raiders 3-2. In a come from behind win the Bears capitalized on goals from Taylor Moon, Olivia Mack, and Gabby Mueller. Baylor got on the board first with a goal from Moon in the 11th minute on a perfect cross from Elizabeth Kooiman. Texas Tech took the lead first in the second half with a goal in the 57th minute but Baylor answered quick on a goal from Mack with an assist from Mackenzie Anthony. Gabby Mueller got a good look from distance and blasted one into the net to give Baylor the 3-2 advantage in the 79th minute.
  *   Jennifer Wandt picked up career wins No. 51 last week. She picked up a season high seven saves for the second week in a row after matching that save count against No. 8 TCU.
  *   The three goals scored against the Red Raiders are the most they have allowed this season.
  *   With the win against Texas Tech, the Bears have not lost a game since August 26, recording either a win or tie in the last nine games.
  *   Taylor Moon’s goal is her third in as many games netting one in the three conference matches played this season. She now has four on the season and ranks third in the Big 12 in goals and goals per game.
  *   Elizabeth Kooiman recorded her fourth assist of the season against Texas Tech bringing her total on the season to 4, she leads the team in assists.
  *   Sarah Norman, Sarah Hornyak, Kayley Ables, Ally Henderson-Ashkinos, and Ava Colberg played all 90 minutes last week.
  *   Three Bears made an impact off the bench this week with Olivia Mack recording 31 minutes and a goal, Lorelai Stramrood playing 23 minutes with one shot on goal, and Chloe Brown playing 15 minutes.
  *   Also making appearances where Haven Terry and Giuliana Cunningham.
