Thomas Named Bobby Bragan Player of the Week
This is the second time this year fifth-year senior Andy Thomas earned the honor

WACO, Texas – Baylor fifth-year senior catcher Andy Thomas was honored as the Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Player of the Week, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Thomas returns for consideration for the second time this season on the strength of a .727/.800/1.636 slash line in three games against Kansas State. The Murrieta, Calif., native notched multiple hits in all three games (8-for-11), scoring six runs and driving in nine. He stroked four extra base hits including a double and three homers, walked three times and struck out only once. On Sunday, Thomas went 3-for-4 with a pair of homers and a career-high six RBI.

On the season, Thomas is hitting a career-best .350/.408/.595, to go along with a career-high 10 home runs and 53 RBI. He currently leads the team in home runs and RBI, he is also second on the team in hits (57), batting average, slugging percentage and total bases (97). His 53 RBI are third-most in the Big 12.
