STORY LINES

  *   Baylor hosts Texas for a non-conference game for a 6 p.m. contest Wednesday, March 31 at Betty Lou Mays Field.
  *   The two teams played in October, with UT prevailing, 1-0. Baylor played one of its best contests of the year in Austin despite the final score as the Bears outshot the Longhorns, 23-16, with a 10-7 advantage in shots on frame and a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.
  *   Baylor moved to 1-1 in the spring portion of the season after netting a season-high five goals in Saturday's 5-0 win over Louisiana. It marked the most goals by the Bears since they scored six against Nebraska on Sept. 2, 2018.
  *   Taylor Moon<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=9984> netted the 19th hat trick in program history, and first since Elizabeth Kooiman's<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=9982> against West Virginia (10/3/19). After she scored one goal in the first half, she netted two in the second - one off a penalty kick rebound and the other off a corner kick.
  *   Ally Henderson<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=9981> scored her first goal since her freshman season off a corner kick in the first half. She followed that up with another goal from just outside the 18 in the second half.
  *   The Baylor back line held Louisiana to only three shot attempts all game and two corner kicks.
  *   Jennifer Wandt<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=9988> picked up career shutout No. 32 to tie for fourth in Big 12 history alongside Melanie Wilson (Texas A&M, 1996-99). She has now recorded a shutout in 42.7 percent of the games she's played in at Baylor.
  *   Henderson was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week after her performance against Louisiana. The senior defensive midfielder picked up her first career weekly honor after her pair of goals against the Ragin' Cajuns in addition to her play on the Baylor back line that shut out UL.
  *   The NCAA announced on Wednesday that the NCAA Tournament (scaled down from 64 teams to 48) would be held in Cary, N.C., and the surrounding areas. Selections will be made for the tournament on April 19 with the first round scheduled to take place April 27-28. The College Cup will be May 17.
  *   After Wednesday's contest vs. Texas, Baylor has only two games remaining in its extended 2020 season with a road game at Oklahoma on April 10 before closing out action in Waco against Texas Tech on April 17.
  *   Baylor wrapped up the fall with a 3-3-3 record to finish fifth in the Big 12 standings. BU was one of the tops in the country in shutout percentage as six of the Bears' nine matches they pitched a shutout.
  *   Baylor racked up six Big 12 honors in November with three second-teamers (Jennifer Wandt<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=9988>, Kayley Ables<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=9974> and Taylor Moon<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=9984>) and three All-Freshman selections (Mackenzie Anthony<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=9993>, Chloe Japic<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=9999> and Gabby Mueller<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=9991>).
