WACO, Texas – No. 2 Baylor men’s tennis is heading to College Station for a midweek contest at No. 12 Texas A&M on Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Mitchell Tennis Center.

The Bears (16-2) have won five matches in a row and 10 of their last 11.

Baylor is off to its best 18-match start to a season since 2007, when the team began the year 18-2. TAMU (9-3) is coming off a 5-2 loss at No. 24 Ole Miss on Sunday, while BU defeated No. 21 Arizona State 4-0 at home.

Earlier this season, the Bears defeated the Aggies 4-1 as part of the ITA Kick-Off Weekend, sending BU to Champaign, Ill., for the ITA National Team Indoor Championship. This is Baylor’s ninth match against a ranked opponent this season and third consecutive. The Bears are 6-2 against the top-25 this season.

TAMU holds a 35-23-1 lead in the all-time series with Baylor, but the Bears have won five of the last seven meetings.

BU is a combined 75-11 in singles play this spring and 37-13 in doubles action. Five Bears own at least seven singles wins during this dual season in Charlie Broom, Ryan Dickerson, Spencer Furman, Matias Soto and Nick Stachowiak. Fifth-year senior Constantin Frantzen is one doubles win away from reaching 100 career victories, a mark which would be good for fourth on Baylor’s all-time leaderboard.

Live scoring and live video will be available for Thursday’s match. Links can be found here.<https://baylorbears.com/sports/mens-tennis/schedule>
