WACO, Texas – Ten Baylor track & field student-athletes have been named 2021 NCAA Division I All-Academic Athletes, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Thursday.

Ian Braxton, Ben Conacher, Ryan Croson and Eli Morris made the men’s list, while Briana Garcia, Alex Kubicek, Aaliyah Miller, Tuesdi Tidwell, Sydney Washington and Lily Williams were represented on the women’s side.

Overall, there were more than 850 men and more than 1,100 women who were named All-Academic Athletes in NCAA Division I Track & Field.

To qualify, student-athletes had to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, certifiable by either NCAA Faculty Rep or NCAA Compliance Coordinator or Registrar’s Office.

In addition to the 10 individuals, both the Baylor men’s and women’s teams were named All-Academic Teams as the men held a 3.17 GPA while the women posted a 3.45 GPA.

For the teams to qualify, the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution’s NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, certifiable by either NCAA Faculty Rep or NCAA Compliance Coordinator or Registrar’s Office.
