WACO, Texas – Baylor baseball added junior college transfer Brett Garcia to the roster, head coach Steve Rodriguez announced.

Garcia comes to Waco after one year at Cypress College where he made seven appearances on the mound, including six starts for the Chargers in 2021. In those contests, Garcia compiled a 4.41 ERA while striking out 39 batters in 32.2 innings of work.

The La Mirada, Calif., native began his career at UC Irvine in 2019. He made two appearances on the mound before utilizing his redshirt season.
