  *   Baylor improved to 8-1 against ranked teams over the last 2 seasons, including 5-0 away from home (3-0 road, 2-0 neutral).
  *   Baylor improved to 12-0 for the first time since starting 15-0 on its way to No. 1 in 2016-17.
  *   The Bears have started a season 12-0 for the 5th time in program history (1912, 2001, 2012, 2017, 2021).
  *   Baylor had its school-record streak of 11 consecutive wins by double-digits snapped.
