WACO, Texas – Due to the precautions taken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Baylor announced its revised attendance policy for home tennis matches on Friday. In order to provide the safest environment for student-athletes, fans, coaches and staffs, Hawkins Indoor will be limited to Bear Foundation, Baseline Club and Trophy Club members only.

Members interested in attending may request to be added to a pass list for each match by emailing Jacqui_Haddock at baylor.edu<mailto:Jacqui_Haddock at baylor.edu>. All requests will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. Requests must be submitted at least 24 hours before match time. An email response will communicate your request’s status in a timely manner.

Hurd Tennis Center will be restricted to 25 percent capacity, and attendees will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fans in attendance are required to follow CDC guidelines, wearing masks at all times and practicing social distancing.

Both the men’s and women’s tennis teams will open their 2021 seasons this weekend with doubleheaders. The men take on Lamar and Abilene Christian on Friday, Jan. 15, at Noon and 6 p.m., while the women will face Prairie View A&M at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
