WACO, Texas – Baylor men’s tennis senior Charlie Broom picked up another honor on Wednesday as he was named to the 2021 ITA National Men’s Team Indoor Championship All-Tournament Team.

The Hertfordshire, England, native was selected to the team in the No. 5 singles position, where he went 3-0 on the weekend. The team was voted on by the eight participating head coaches.

The No. 103-ranked Broom picked up three straight-set victories at National Indoors, including a 6-0, 6-3 win over No. 100 Josh Peck from UNC in the tournament’s championship match. He opened his weekend with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Texas’ Chih Chi Huang, then followed it up with a 45-minute rout of Illinois’ Hunter Heck, 6-0, 6-2.

Broom blanked his opponents twice in the first set and was the first off the court in two of BU’s three matches on the weekend, leading the Bears to a second-place finish at the national event.
