WACO, Texas – After playing a conference-only schedule in the fall, Baylor soccer returns to the pitch to face a spring slate that features a slew of Power 5 opponents.



Not including an exhibition contest, the Bears are set to play seven matches from March to April, with four of them taking place at Betty Lou Mays Field. These results will be added to what Baylor put together in the fall as the Bears look to punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament.



“As a program, we are excited to play matches this spring that could lead to an NCAA berth,” Baylor head coach Paul Jobson said. “Our team is focused and looking forward to continuing the momentum we had at the end of the fall.”



Baylor will take on former Big 12 rival Texas A&M on Saturday, Feb. 27 in an exhibition match before heading north to take on 2020 conference champion TCU on Saturday, March 6.



The Bears return to Betty Lou to host back-to-back home contests against Texas (Thursday, March 11) and LSU (Thursday, March 18). Baylor will then go to Tulsa to take on Missouri on Sunday, March 21.



Baylor wraps up the month of March with a home match against Louisiana on Saturday, March 27. After taking off the following week for Easter, the Bears hit the road for the final time in the regular season to face Oklahoma in Norman on Saturday, April 10. Baylor wraps up its 2020 schedule with a home contest against Texas Tech on Saturday, April 17.



All home contests are scheduled to be aired on Big 12 Now on ESPN+. All matches in the spring against Big 12 opponents will not count as conference games.



With COVID-19, the Big 12 allowed a conference-only schedule in the fall of 2020. The Bears went 3-3-3 through the league and finished fifth in the standings. Selection Sunday is slated for April 18 with the bracket reduced from 64 to 48 teams. There will be 31 automatic qualifiers, with TCU earning the Big 12 bid, and 17 at-large picks. The Women’s College Cup will be held May 13-17.



Attendance at Bety Lou in the spring will be the same as it was for the fall. Capacity is restricted to a total allotment of 300. On the morning of game day, there will be an announcement via social media regarding the remaining tickets available to the public, after player and Legacy Club pass-list reservations. Once that announcement is made, those tickets will be available to claim via email to Emmitt_Flores at baylore.du<mailto:Emmitt_Flores at baylore.du>. An email response will communicate the status of your request in a timely manner.
