HUMBLE, Texas – Baylor women’s golf shattered its school-record with a first-round score of 23-under-par 265, and the Bears padded their lead with a 5-under-par 283 in the second round Monday at the Lone Star Invitational at Golf Club of Houston.

BU leads SMU (-2), Texas State (E), BYU (+12), Kansas (+17) and Tulane (+23).

All six Baylor golfers are among the top-10 individually in the 39-player field. Hannah Karg leads the Bears and is in second place overall with a 36-hole total of 8-under-par 136. She tied the school record with a first-round 7-under 65, firing eight birdies, including each of her last two holes, and she carded 1-under 71 in the afternoon.
