WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian completed its 2021 recruiting class on Thursday with nine additions, as announced by head coach Casie Maxwell.

The incoming Bears represent five states, including California, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa and Texas. All nine in the class will come to Waco in the fall of 2021.

“We are excited to welcome the 2021 class to the Baylor family,” said Maxwell. “These young ladies will bring a wealth of experience with them and will all be great assets to our program. We look forward to getting them on campus next fall and being a part of this next chapter of their lives.”

Gianna Pozzi | Western – Horsemanship | Spring Valley, Ill. | Hall HS
Currently ranked No. 2 APHA Youth in the nation … 2020 APHA World Show Reserve World Champion Novice Youth in Western Riding … 2020 APHA World Show Top 5 in Youth Horsemanship, Equitation and Western Riding … 2018 APHA Youth World Games Equitation Champion … Member of National Honor Society.

Four-year JD Pounds Medal Qualifier … Placed 10th at 2019 Junior Hunter Finals … Qualified for 2019-20 IEA National Finals in Open … Sister of Maddie Vorhies, a sophomore jumping seat rider for Baylor.
