STORY LINES

• The Bears return home to Baylor Ballpark to start a five-game homestand, beginning with a midweek tilt vs. Dallas Baptist on Wednesday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. CT.

• The Bears have won six of their last eight games, including taking the weekend series at Cal Poly. The Bears enter the week having won the last two games.

 • Baylor has finished its home schedule with a .500 record or better in all 20 seasons at Baylor Ballpark (since 1999) and is 459-206 all-time at the park after starting off the 2020 season 5-5 at home.

• The Bears are 37-13 all-time in midweek contests under fifth-year head coach Steve Rodriguez<https://baylorbears.com/coaches.aspx?rc=1412> and 2-1 so far in 2020.

He twice has a season-high four hits, including this past Saturday at Cal Poly. His 26 total hits on the year rank 12th-most in the nation and the highest hit total of any freshman in the country. Likewise, his batting average of .400 is the highest of any freshman in the Big 12 and ranks tied for third. Over the weekend he collected 8 hits in the series win at Cal Poly, with three multi-hit outings.
