WACO, Texas – The five-time defending national champion and preseason No. 1 Baylor acrobatics & tumbling team is set to begin its 2020 National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) season this Saturday, Feb. 1 at 5 p.m. CT, right down I-35 at University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas.

The Bears are coming off a 14-0 season in which they defeated Oregon, 278.400-271.725 to earn the program's fifth-consecutive national title.

Head coach Felecia Mulkey enters her sixth season at the helm for the Bears are boasts a 55-1 record in Waco.

The Bears will hit the mat at the Ferrell Center on Sunday, Feb. 23 for their home opener vs. rival Oregon at 3 p.m. CT. Two other home meets for the season include vs. Gannon University on March 3 at 6 p.m. CT and senior day vs. Azusa Pacific on Saturday, March 28 at 5 p.m. CT.

A&T meets consist of six events: Compulsory, Acro, Pyramid, Toss, Tumbling and Team Routine. Teams compete in a predetermined rotation order throughout each event. Events are immediately scored by officials and overall standings are displayed on the scoreboard.
