WACO, Texas – Baylor men’s golf begins its spring season Monday morning with the 40th-annual Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson, Ariz. The two-day, 54-hole tournament is played on a par-71, 7,292-yard course at Sewailo Golf Club.

No. 12-ranked Baylor is part of a 14-team field featuring No. 11 Arizona, No. 17 Washington, No. 36 New Mexico, No. 44 Long Beach State, Iowa State, Little Rock, Mississippi State, New Mexico State, St. Mary’s, Louisiana-Monroe, UTEP, UTSA and Washington State.

Teams are scheduled for two rounds on Monday, followed by a final round Tuesday morning. Monday’s first round is a 9 a.m. CT shotgun start, and the second round is slated for 2 p.m. CT.

Baylor’s lineup is led by senior Cooper Dossey in the No. 1 spot, followed by senior Colin Kober, junior Ryan Grider, freshman Johnny Keefer and junior Mark Reppe. Redshirt junior Travis McInroe will compete as an individual.

Grider is making his 2019-20 season debut with the Bears after missing the entire fall season with an injury. He saw his first tournament action following the injury in the Saguaro Amateur in early January and finished in third place at 9-under-par 207.

Dossey leads the Bears with a 69.75 stroke average across 12 rounds, on pace to break the program single-season record of 70.47 set by Kyle Jones in 2014-15. Dossey is second in program history with a 71.69 stroke average across 106 career rounds, trailing only Jimmy Walker’s 71.55 through 147 rounds.

Kober ranks third on the Bears with a 72.00 stroke average over 12 rounds. He recorded two top-10 finishes during the fall season, including a tie for eighth place in his most recent appearance at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate.

Keefer, a true freshman, ranks second on the Bears with a 71.09 stroke average and has played six of 11 rounds at par or better. His best finish of the fall was a tie for third place in his collegiate debut at the Gopher Invitational.

Reppe is tied for third on the team with a 72.00 stroke average over 12 rounds, including six rounds at par or better. He finished the fall season with a tie for 10th place at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate, recording his second career top-10 finish.

McInroe appeared in the Baylor lineup in four of five fall events and carded a 72.83 stroke average across 12 rounds. He finished in the top-half of the field in three of four stroke play events and won a pair of individual matches at the Big 12 Match Play Championship.

Keefer and Reppe are paired with two Arizona players and will begin Monday’s rounds from the first tee. Kober and Grider are also paired with two Arizona players and will tee off from No. 2. Dossey will start on No. 3 in pairings with players from Arizona, Washington and New Mexico, and McInroe will begin on No. 18 in a grouping with other individual competitors.

Tuesday’s final round pairings and tee times will be based on team and individual standings following Monday’s 36 holes.
