STORY LINES
• No. 4/4 Baylor heads to Lubbock to face No. 22/21 Texas Tech at 8 p.m. CT Tuesday on ESPN2.
• Tuesday is the 139th all-time series meeting dating back to 1937. Baylor is 19-9 vs. Texas Tech since 2006, including a 7-7 mark in Lubbock in that span. BU is 6-4 in its last 10 trips to Lubbock.
• The teams split the series last season, with each winning on its home court. Jared Butler led Baylor in scoring in both games, as the Bears won 73-62 in Waco and lost 86-61 in Lubbock.

• Freshman Jared Butler led the Bears with 19 points and 5 assists (14 points, 2 assists and 3 steals in the 2nd half), while Makai Mason added 16 points to help the Bears to a 73-62 win over No. 8 Texas Tech on Jan. 19, 2019.
• Baylor trailed 23-10 midway through the 1st half, but BU closed the half on a 23-8 run to lead 33-31 at halftime.
• Butler scored Baylor's first 8 points in the 2nd half, and after Tech cut the BU lead to 2 points with 5 minutes left, Butler made a 3-pointer and converted a 3-point play on consecutive possessions to extend the lead back to 8 points.
