Baylor MBB Adds Alcorn State Game on Dec. 30
Game replaces canceled Dec. 15 matchup vs. Tarleton State

WACO, Texas – Baylor men’s basketball announced the addition of a non-conference game to the 2020-21 schedule Tuesday. The Bears will now host Alcorn State at 2 p.m. CT on Dec. 30 at the Ferrell Center.

The Alcorn State game replaces the previously added Dec. 15 game against Tarleton State, which was canceled due to COVID-19 protocols. BU will now play back-to-back days at the Ferrell Center in its final two non-conference matchups before returning to conference play.

Baylor’s next game is Dec. 29 at 3 p.m. CT against Central Arkansas at the Ferrell Center. The Bears then tip off 23 hours later on Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. against Alcorn State. BU returns to Big 12 action Jan. 2 at Iowa State, which is scheduled for a noon tipoff. All three of those games will air on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.

The Bears’ first Big 12 home game is scheduled for Jan. 6 against Oklahoma, which will tip off at 8 p.m. CT on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.

Tickets for the Dec. 15 game vs. Tarleton State, which were not part of the green or gold ticket packages, are now valid for Dec. 30 vs. Alcorn State. Additional tickets for the Alcorn State game are available starting at $10 at BaylorBears.com/tickets.

The No. 2-ranked Bears are off to a 6-0 start for the first time since beginning the 2016-17 season 15-0 on the way to the program’s first No. 1 national ranking. BU has reached the 80-point mark in all six games, marking the first time since 1994 Baylor has topped 80 points in six-consecutive games.

Baylor Athletics currently utilizes 25 percent capacity in the Ferrell Center, and renewed season ticket holders were given exclusive priority to purchase green and gold ticket packages, in lieu of season tickets.
