WACO, Texas – In conjunction with the Big 12 Conference, Baylor Volleyball announced its 2020 schedule on Friday, highlighted by eight home matches at the Ferrell Center. All dates and times are subject to change.

The 16-match, conference-only campaign includes a new format in which teams will play on back-to-back days against league opponents. The schedule is split evenly with four home and four away series as teams will face each other twice.

The Bears are looking to follow up a historic season that saw the program make its first appearance in the NCAA National Semifinals amidst a wealth of accolades. Sixth-year head coach Ryan McGuyre returns 14 letterwinners to the 2020 squad, including five starters, two All-Americans and three preseason all-conference selections.

“This schedule will test our resiliency and challenge us to overcome new obstacles along the way,” McGuyre said. “I look forward to starting this great adventure with a great staff and loving student-athletes.”

To kick off the season, the reigning Big 12 champs will travel to Kansas for two matches on Sept. 25-26 before opening the home schedule against TCU and Oklahoma in back-to-back weekends, Oct. 2-3 and Oct. 9-10.

On Oct. 16-17, the Bears will head to Texas Tech for a pair, followed by a two-match slate at Iowa State on Oct. 23-24. Baylor will host West Virginia on Oct. 29-30 before gearing up for an in-state showdown at Texas on Nov. 6 and Nov. 8.

To close out the regular season, BU will welcome Kansas State to the Ferrell Center for two contests on Nov. 20-21.

The 2020 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship was postponed on Aug. 21 and is currently set to be held in Spring 2021.
