THE RUNDOWN
DALLAS – Baylor men’s golf is in third place after shooting 6-under-par 562 across two rounds on Monday at the 2019 Royal Oaks Intercollegiate. The Bears carded 2-under 282 in the morning round and 4-under 280 in the afternoon.

Baylor (-6) trails only SMU (-12) and Liberty (-11) entering Tuesday’s final round. BU leads Michigan (E), New Mexico (+1), Charlotte (+2), North Texas (+3), Kansas State (+5), Kent State (+7), UTSA (+18), Iowa (+18) and Nebraska (+34).

Colin Kober and Mark Reppe are tied for fifth place individually at 4-under 138, two shots back of the leaders in the 68-player field. Kober carded 3-under 68 and 1-under 70, while Reppe posted even-par 71 in the first round and 4-under 67 in the second. Cooper Dossey is tied for 23rd place at 1-over 143 after rounds of 2-over 73 and 1-under 70. Johnny Keefer is tied for 34th place at 3-over 145 after rounds of 1-under 70 and 4-over 75, while Brandon Hoff is tied for 40th place at 4-over 146 with matching rounds of 2-over 73.

BU also entered three individuals in the tournament. Travis McInroe is tied for 14th place at 1-under 141 after shooting 1-over 72 and 2-under 69. Tyler Isenhart is tied for 23rd at 1-over 143 following rounds of 2-under 69 and 3-over 74, and Scout McNealy is tied for 67th place at 15-over 157 after shooting 7-over 78 and 8-over 79.

HIGHLIGHTS

  *   Baylor ranks second in the 12-team field in par-4 scoring at 1-over 4.01, tied for third in par-5 scoring at 9-under 4.70 and tied for eighth in par-3 scoring at 6-over 3.20.
  *   Baylor leads the tournament with 125 pars across two rounds, and the Bears rank eighth with 26 birdies.
  *   Mark Reppe and Travis McInroe are tied for fourth in the 68-player field in par-5 scoring at 4-under 4.33.
  *   Colin Kober is tied for sixth in par-4 scoring at 2-under 3.91, while Reppe is tied for eighth at 1-under 3.95.
  *   Tyler Isenhart and Kober are tied for 15th in par-3 scoring at even-par 3.00.
  *   Cooper Dossey and Kober are tied for 13th in par-5 scoring at 2-under 4.67.
  *   Johnny Keefer is tied for 15th in par-4 scoring at even-par 4.00.
  *   Dossey is tied for fourth in the field with 27 pars across 36 holes, while Kober is tied for eighth with 26 pars and McInroe, Reppe, Brandon Hoff and Isenhart are tied for 12th with 25 pars.
  *   Kober leads the team and is tied for 12th in the field with seven birdies.
  *   Dossey and Reppe were among eight players to make birdies on Monday.

STAT OF THE DAY
5-under – Baylor combined to shoot 5-under on its 36th and final hole of the day, cutting SMU’s lead from 11 shots to six entering Tuesday’s final round. Cooper Dossey made an eagle, while Colin Kober, Mark Reppe and Brandon Hoff each posted birdies, and Johnny Keefer made a par.

Tuesday’s final round is an 8:30 a.m. CT modified shotgun start.
