ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot is coming to your city. Please read through the entire email, as it contains all the information needed for the show, including media availability, set access and interview requests.
General Show Information

·         The three-hour show (8 a.m. – 11 a.m. CT) of news and analysis will air live from outside McLane Stadium.

·         The 11-time Emmy Award-winning show is hosted by Rece Davis, who is joined by analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack, as well as contributors Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica, Jen Lada, Tom Rinaldi, Maria Taylor and Gene Wojciechowski.




General Media Information

I, Derek Volner will be your media contact this week. I can be reached via email or cell at any time. However, there will not be a PR representative on site this week in Waco, Texas.


·            We have adjusted our media protocol for this week – including no behind the scenes access on Saturday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will still do everything to be able to help from afar.

·            We will still hold media availability on Friday.

Thursday: College GameDay Set Build

·         The College GameDay set will be built throughout the day on Thursday. You are free to take photos and b-roll, but we ask that you keep your distance as it is an active construction site.

o    If you need interviews with operations personnel on Thursday, please reach out to me and I can help coordinate from afar.  You can also conduct interviews with them on Friday.
Friday’s Media Availability: 10:40 a.m. CT in the Baylor Media Interview Room at McLane Stadium

·         We will hold a media availability with a few of our commentators on Friday, beginning at 10:40 a.m. CT

·         The meeting location for the media availability will be in the Baylor Media Interview Room at McLane Stadium

·         Available for working media only

·         Interviews will be done pool style – we expect to make three people available

·         A credential is not needed to attend availability – but will ask that you RSVP to Derek.Volner at ESPN.com<mailto:Derek.Volner at ESPN.com>

·         Media availability can be live streamed

Saturday

The set will be closed on Saturday. As a result, media must abide by the following rules. If you have any issues, please reach out to me: 860-384-9986

Before the Show (5 a.m. – 8 a.m.):


·         All live shots, which can be conducted from outside the College GameDay barriers, must be off air by 6 a.m. local time and are not permitted again until after the conclusion of the show. Wireless mics and RF transmissions can cause issues with our live equipment



·         Photographers are permitted outside the College GameDay barriers.



·         Cameras are allowed to get B-roll shots of the crowd outside of the enclosed College GameDay barriers; No access inside the barriers will be permitted



·         During this time, very little goes on inside the College GameDay barriers. All content you would be interested in (fans, signs, etc) are able to be gathered without an issue.

During the show (8 a.m. – 11 a.m.)



·         No working media will be permitted inside the College GameDay barriers, which includes behind the set for Saturday’s show; Game credentials or school issued credentials will not permit you access



·         Photographers are permitted outside the College GameDay barriers and in the periphery of the crowd, but must stay out of ESPN camera shots (at no time can there be standups – live or taped – with GameDay in view while the show is airing live)



·         Absolutely no wireless mics or RF feeds can be used in the vicinity of College GameDay as it can cause issues with our audio systems.



 Reminder: At no time should you go directly to the talent, producers or onsite workers.
