STORY LINES
• The No. 2-seeded Bears open up defense of their 2018 Big 12 Baseball Championships title on Wednesday, May 22 as they face No. 7 seed Oklahoma at 4 p.m. CT at Chickashaw Bricktown Ballpark.

• The Bears are looking for their second-straight Big 12 Tournament title after winning the first one in school history in 2018.

• The Bears won 8-of-10 three game series on the year, including 5-of-6 in the Big 12 and a series over Oklahoma.

• Baylor has finished its home schedule with a .500 record or better (24-6 in 2019) in all 20 seasons at Baylor Ballpark (since 1999) and is 456-204 all-time at the park.

• Baylor and Oklahoma are the only two teams to qualify for all 23 Big 12 Championships.

• Baylor led the league for a third-straight year with 12 All-Big 12 honors.

• Baylor has 12 or more wins (14) in Big 12 play for the third-straight season. BU has won 12 or more in three-straight seasons for the first time since 2010-12.

• Baylor has won 30 or more (33) games in a season for the third-straight year (32 in 2018), giving the program back-to-back-to-back 30-win seasons for the first time since 2010-12.

AGAINST OKLAHOMA
• Baylor is 5-3 against Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship, having matched up with them twice in the 2018 championship, winning both games by a combined score of 14-3. The Bears won opened up their tournament run with a 4-0 victory over the Sooners and then followed with a 10-3 win in the semifinal.

• The Bears won this year's series over the Sooners in Waco, 2-1, with wins on Saturday and Sunday in the rubber match.


ALL-BIG 12 HONOREES
The Bears led all teams with 12 All-Big 12 selections, including six first teamers. Third baseman Davis Wendzel<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=61> led the way as he was selected Co-Big 12 Player of the Year, becoming the fifth Bear to win such an honor and the first since Josh Ludy did so in 2012. Cole Haring<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=41> was the lone second team honoree for the Bears, while Daniel Caruso<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=34>, Jimmy Winston<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=62>, Ryan Leckich<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=48>, Paul Dickens<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=9217> and Chase Wehsener<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=60> were honorable mention selections. Wehsener was also a unanimous All-Freshman team selection.

IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
• The Bears boast the seventh-highest batting average in the nation (.315), 16th with 2.21 doubles per game,19th in slugging percentage (.475) and 21st in on-base percentage (0.398). The Bears' fielding percentage of 0.978 ranks 22nd nationally. On the mound the Bears rank 24th with just 7.76 hits allowed per nine innings. Also, the Bears' six shutouts on the year rank eighth nationally.
