10th annual event to provide NCAA baseball experience for children
with physical and developmental challenges
WACO, TX — The 2019 Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic Youth Experience presented by the Waco Association of REALTORS will feature more than 225 participants from the Little League Challenger Division as they take the field alongside the Baylor University baseball team. This event, in its tenth year, is being played for the benefit of Shriners Hospitals for Children. In March 2020, Baylor University will compete alongside Big 12 Conference and Southeastern Conference programs in the 2020 Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

Baylor Baseball and Shriners Hospitals for Children have collaborated on this event since 2012. Participants will have their photos on the Baylor Ballpark video board and each receive a custom Baylor Baseball t-shirt provided by Marucci Sports. Baylor players and coaches will present awards to each player at the conclusion of each game alongside members of the Waco chapter of Shriners International. Previously, Baylor Baseball has made regular trips to visit patients at the Houston Shriners Hospital in addition to competing in the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic.

The Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic is a 20-year Astros Foundation tradition at
Minute Maid Park. In December 2015, the Astros Foundation announced a multi-year naming rights agreement for the event with Shriners Hospitals for Children.
