TEAM NOTES

• Baylor improved to 29-1 on the season and advanced to the semifinals round of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship for the ninth-straight year.

• Baylor improved to 45-47 all-time vs. TTU, 37-8 in the Kim Mulkey era, 7-0 vs. the Lady Raiders in the Big 12 Championship, and it was Baylor’s 20th-straight win over Texas Tech.

• Baylor moved to 568-99 under 19th-year head coach Kim Mulkey, 41-13 all-time in the Big 12 Championship, and 40-9 under Mulkey in the Big 12 Tournament

• Baylor has the nation’s longest active winning streak at 21 games.

• Baylor’s 32 assists marked a Big 12 Championship Tournament record, passing the program’s own mark of 29 set in 2013.

• Baylor set the Big 12 Championship Tournament record for most players in double figures with seven (Kalani Brown 14, NaLyssa Smith 14, Moon Ursin 12, Chloe Jackson 12, Aquira DeCosta 10, DiDi Richards 10, Lauren Cox 10).

• Baylor’s 44 field goals made were a Big 12 Tournament record beating its own mark of 41 vs. Texas Tech, March 4, 2017.

• Baylor’s 100 points were a program best in the Big 12 Tournament and the third-highest total of all-time; it also marked the most points ever scored in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament.

• Baylor shot 57.1 percent from the field (44-77), which marks third-best in the Big 12 Tournament record book for best field goal percentage.

•Baylor’s 39-point margin of victory was the second highest of all-time in the Big 12 Tournament record book, seven points of its own record last season when Baylor beat TCU 94-48 (+46) March 4, 2018.

• Baylor’s 51 rebounds was ninth most all-time in Big 12 Tournament history and the fourth-highest by a Baylor team in the tournament. It’s +26 rebound margin was fifth-best all-time in the Big 12 Tournament and fourth best among Baylor performances in the tournament.

• Baylor’s nine blocks tied for third most among Baylor performances in the Big 12 Tournament and ninth all-time in the tournament.

• Seven players in double figures has been achieved three times this season and four times in program history, it is a Baylor single-game record.

• Baylor had a 17-0 run in the second quarter, it marked the 29th run of the season of at least 10 points for the Lady Bears.

• Starting lineup for the Lady Bears was Chloe Jackson, Juicy Landrum, DiDi Richards, Lauren Cox, and Kalani Brown, they improved to 27-1 as a unit.

• Baylor out-rebounded TTU 51-25, marking the 29th time this season out of 30 games that the Lady Bears have out-rebounded their opponents.

• The Lady Bears held Texas Tech to 35.0% shooting from the field (21-60). In 652 of 667 games under Mulkey, the Lady Bears have held their opponent at or below 50 percent field goal shooting, with only seven of those efforts coming in the last 14 years.

• Baylor has assisted on 686 of 964 field goals this season marking 71.2 percent of field goals with an assist; Baylor had 32 on 44 field goals this afternoon vs. Texas Tech.



INDIVIDUAL NOTES

• Kalani Brown scored 14 points to tie for the team lead. It was Brown’s 25th time this season to score 10+ and 107th time in her career to reach double figures.

• Brown now has 172 career points in the Big 12 Championship moving from 10th to eighth all-time on the list.

• Brown’s 7-for-9 performance from the field is tied for sixth best among BU players in the Big 12 Conference Tournament.

• NaLyssa Smith tied for the team lead with 14 points, which gave her at least 10 in all three games vs. Texas Tech this season, she has 14 games in double figures this season.

• Chloe Jackson finished with 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting, she reached double figures for the 19th time this season and 66th time in her career.

• Jackson’s first assist was the 300th of her career; she finished with four.

• Moon Ursin scored 12 points, it was her first time to reach double figures since scoring 20 at Texas Feb. 4. She added five rebounds, four assist, a block and a steal to fill the stat sheet.

• DiDi Richards reached double figures for the 10th time in her career with 10 points while leading Baylor with seven assists.

• Landrum and Richards, the starting wing players combined for 13 assists (Landrum, 6) and just one turnover for a 13:1 ratio.

• Aquira DeCosta came off the bench to score 10 points in 10 minutes. She added five rebounds and two assists as well. Acosta has reached double figures twice this season, with the other occasion coming vs. Texas Tech as well.

• Lauren Cox led Baylor with four blocks and three steals to go along with 10 points and six boards. It was Cox’s 21st time to score at least 10 this season and 62nd time in her career.

• Cox’s four blocks gave her 17 for her career in the Big 12 Tournament, moving her in a tie for 8th place all-time.

• Cox’s four blocks tied her for 10th best among BU players in a Big 12 Tournament game
