WACO, Texas – Baylor’s women’s tennis team will look to repeat last year’s performance as the unranked Bears head to Coral Gables, Fla. to take on No. 17 Miami at Noon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. The match will be televised on the ACC Network Extra and ESPN3, and Baylor will be looking for its fourth consecutive win over the Hurricanes.



Last season, an unranked Baylor team welcomed No. 17 Miami to Waco and the Bears were able to hand the Hurricanes a 4-3 defeat on Feb 18. This season, the 5-2 Bears are in a similar spot but will have to knock off the ranked opponent on the road.



Miami is 4-1 on the season after splitting matches with a pair of ranked opponents Saturday and Sunday at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Evanston, Ill. The Hurricanes defeated No. 23 Tulsa 4-1 Saturday before falling to No. 20 Northwestern.



The Bears beat Wichita State 4-1 before falling to No. 6 Texas, 4-0 at the Austin, Texas site of the ITA Kickoff Weekend to move to 5-2 on the year.



Baylor holds an 8-7 advantage all-time in the series between the two schools, and the Bears are 4-3 when playing the Hurricanes on the road.
