WACO, Texas – Five Baylor track & field athletes recorded top-five finishes Friday on the first of two days at the Michael Johnson Invitational at Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium.

Sarah Antrich (17:43.25) and Connor Laktasic (15:22.70) both placed third in their respective 5,000-meter races. For Antrich, it was a personal best by less than a second. Haley Everroad (17:59.30) also achieved her personal best, finishing in fourth place behind Antrich.

In the women’s javelin, senior Megan SaxvanderWeyden placed fourth in her last home competition as a Bear with a throw of 153-0 (46.63m). K.C. Sullivan moved to No. 5 on Baylor’s all-time javelin performers list with a personal-best throw of 143-9 (43.81m), good for seventh place.

Reese Sarnowski placed fifth in the men’s pole vault open, registering a jump of 15-1 (4.60m).

Saturday's schedule kicks off with the men's discus at 9:30 a.m. CT. The afternoon running session begins at 1 p.m. CT, with the evening session getting started at 5 p.m. CT.
