WACO, Texas – Baylor football radio broadcasts will again be available to fans across the Lone Star State on the Baylor IMG Sports Network and nationally on the TuneIn App and Sirius/XM Satellite Radio, Baylor Athletics announced Tuesday.



The Bears kick off the second season of the Matt Rhule era at 7 p.m. CT Saturday against Abilene Christian.



Dates and times for the revamped Baylor Coach’s Show Live at Rudy’s were also announced Tuesday. Each show will feature a member of the Baylor Football coaching staff, and head coaches of all Baylor Athletics teams will participate throughout the year. Shows will run from 6-7 p.m. on various Thursdays during the fall and spring semesters, and Rhule will be featured for the entire hour for the first show on Thursday, Aug. 30.

Additional fall dates for the Baylor Coach’s Show Live at Rudy’s are Sept. 6, Sept. 20, Oct. 4, Oct. 18, Nov. 1 and Nov. 29. Spring dates are tentatively scheduled for Jan. 24, Feb. 7, Feb. 21, March 7, March 21, April 4 and April 18. Fans are encouraged to tweet their questions to @VoiceOfBears or ask questions in person at Rudy’s during the live broadcast.



All Baylor Football games and the Baylor Coach’s Show Live at Rudy’s will air on the flagship station of Baylor Athletics, ESPN Central Texas, 1660 KRZI AM. Fans across the nation can listen on www.1660espn.com<http://www.1660espn.com>.



BU football will be carried on a total of 15 stations across the state of Texas, spanning from Amarillo (KPUR 1440 AM) to Houston (KNTH 1070 AM), with stops along the way in Abilene (KMWX 92.5 FM), Austin (KTXW 1120 AM/101.1 FM), Dallas (KSKY 660 AM), Henderson (KPXI 100.7 FM and K253CE 98.5 FM), Lufkin (KYBI 100.1 FM), Lubbock (KFYO 790 AM/95.1 FM and KKAM 1340 AM), San Antonio (KSLR 630 AM and KLUP 930 AM) and Waco (KRZI 1660 AM).

The “Voice of the Bears,” John Morris, will handle play-by-play duties for the Baylor IMG team, returning for his 32nd season calling Baylor Football and his 24th season as the signature voice of Baylor Athletics. He’s joined by a pair of Baylor Athletics Hall of Famers in J.J. Joe and Ricky Thompson. Joe will provide analysis for a 15th season, and Thompson returns for his 19th season on the sidelines. Additional members of the 2018 Baylor Football radio broadcast crew include engineer Bob Baker and Baylor IMG Network studio host Dave Shook.



Broadcasts on 1660 AM in Central Texas begin two hours prior to kickoff with the Baylor Alumni Network Tailgate Show, while other affiliates are slated to begin pregame coverage 30 minutes prior to kick with the Baylor Countdown to Kickoff.



Following the game, 1660 AM will carry two hours of postgame coverage, including the First Central Credit Union Postgame Show and the Fan Forum Postgame Show with hosts Derek Smith and Elliot Coffey. Additional stations will carry the 30-minute First Central Credit Union Postgame Show. The Baylor IMG Sports Network also produces live radio play-by-play broadcasts of Baylor men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball and select softball games, as well as the Baylor Coach’s Show Live at Rudy’s.
